Student Success Scholarship Application 2019-2020

PLEASE NOTE: Deadline has been extended due to schedule changes caused by the Coronavirus! Students must complete and submit application no later than midnight on Monday, March 23rd, 2020.

You will be considered an eligible applicant if you are receiving a degree in May 2020 (or Dec. 2019 if you finished early) and if you have a cumulative 3.5 or higher grade point average (GPA).                         

PLEASE NOTE: A letter of recommendation from an instructor is also required by March 23rd, so plan accordingly.  Early College and Valley Academy students are NOT eligible.

The Davidson County Community College Foundation offers a competitive merit-based scholarship to a deserving graduate at Davidson County Community College. It is to be used as assistance for completion, taking care of any outstanding educational costs, as well as preparing you for your career; or as support to transfer to an advanced degree program of study. You must complete the entire application and have it submitted by midnight on Monday, March 23rd, 2020, to be considered for the scholarship.

Selection Process 
A selection committee at DCCC will review completed applications after March 23rd, 2020. You may be asked to participate in a REQUIRED interview in April; once an interview date is selected we will notify you & ask you to be sure to plan ahead to be available. The student selected for the scholarship will be notified in May.

  • Please Note: This is a required field. Your instructor may prefer to email your recommendation letter directly to the DCCC Foundation. If this is the case, please ask them to email it to: and please upload a document (ex. Microsoft Word document) to this application which states that your instructor will be emailing the letter.

  • This could include things such as being on the Dean's list; being a member of PTK and/or NSLS; being a Global Scholar, etc.)
  • List above any volunteer and community activities in which you have been involved during your DCCC years, including any leadership positions held, and the years of your participation.
